Michael Fasano began his career at the White House Office of Management and Budget, where he served as Senior Budget Examiner. He subsequently served as Investment Advisor to General Investment Funds, a large, internally managed pension group, after which he served as Executive Vice Present and then President and CEO of Trans-General. In 1990, Mr. Fasano started Fasano Associates.
Mr. Fasano previously served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland’s Graduate School of Management and Technology, University College. He has served on the Board of Visitors of Northwestern University’s College of Arts and Sciences since 1993, and also serves on Northwestern University’s Leadership Circle for the Washington, DC region. Mr. Fasano received his B.A. from Northwestern University and his M.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Mr. Fasano now serves as President of Fasano Associates, with primary responsibility for directing the firm’s underwriting business. Mr. Fasano has written numerous articles published in Best’s Review, Pensions and Investments, and the National Underwriter, and has authored underwriting chapters in Wiley Finance text books on life settlements and reverse mortgages. He is a frequent speaker at industry seminars and conferences. Currently, Mr. Fasano serves on the Executive Committee of the European Life Settlement Association (ELSA) and a member of the Board of Directors of the Institutional Longevity Markets Association (ILMA).
